Hungary-Ajka

Hello from Hungary.

We live in a small town, called Ajka. It's in the west of Hungary, in the Bakony hills. It's population is 35.000. Ajka is an old industrial town. There used to be many mines and factories, but many of them are closed now. Nowadays big international companies offer job for the inhabitants. Our town has got a world-wide famous crystal factory of which we are very proud. Ajka is a quiet but not a boring town. We like living here, because we have lots of parks, a nice lake in the centre and many good shops.

Our school has got 3 individual buildings at different spots of the town. Ours is in the centre close to many other schools. In our building we've got students from the ages of seven to eighteen. It's a three-storey building. Our classroom is on the 2nd. floor. It's 32 years old. It will be renovated and extended next year so we will have a new language laboratory. We love this school, because we have a lots of friend here, and the teachers are OK :)
